§ 01 What you're buying
MacroDeck is a desktop application for macOS and Windows that records and replays mouse and keyboard input. When you purchase a license (Solo, Family, or Team tier) you receive a cryptographically signed license key that unlocks the app on the number of machines that tier allows.
The license is perpetual for the major version you bought (e.g. v1.x). We may offer upgrade discounts for future major versions, but we do not force you off the version you paid for.
§ 02 Who this contract is between
You (the customer) and MacroDeck (the "we" / "us"), operated by Damilola Onadeinde. Your payment is processed by Stripe, Inc. — your card statement will show a charge from MacroDeck processed by Stripe. For card-processing enquiries (disputed charges, payment method issues) we work with Stripe; for everything about the software itself, email us directly.
§ 03 License grant
Subject to payment, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use MacroDeck on the number of machines permitted by your tier:
- Solo — 1 activation on 1 machine at a time
- Family — up to 5 activations across any mix of macOS and Windows
- Team — up to 10 seats, reassignable by an admin
You may move an activation between machines from inside the app. We don't care which machine is "the one", as long as you stay within the seat count.
§ 04 What you can't do
You can use MacroDeck for any legal purpose. You can't:
- Redistribute the binary, share your license key, or resell the software
- Reverse-engineer, circumvent, or tamper with the license verification
- Use MacroDeck to break laws, break other companies' terms of service, or harass individuals
- Automate interactions with services in ways that violate those services' rules — that's between you and them, and we won't defend misuse
§ 05 Refunds
We offer a 30-day, no-questions-asked refund on every purchase. Email hello@macrodeck.app from the address you purchased with and we'll refund within 24 business hours. Full details in our Refund Policy.
§ 06 Updates and continuity
We ship updates as we see fit — bug fixes, feature additions, refinements. Every v1.x release is free for existing customers. We make no promise about release cadence. If we ever stop shipping (we hope not), your license continues to work offline on whichever version you last installed.
MacroDeck never phones home except to verify your license at activation time. The binary keeps running without a network connection, indefinitely.
§ 07 Privacy
We don't collect telemetry. We don't have analytics. We don't build a profile of what you record. Full details in our Privacy Policy.
§ 08 Warranties — or lack thereof
MacroDeck is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We can't guarantee it'll work with every application, every OS version, every hardware combination in the universe. We've done our best; if you find something broken, tell us and we'll fix it or refund you.
§ 09 Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our total liability to you in connection with MacroDeck is limited to the amount you paid for your license in the twelve months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
If you live somewhere that doesn't allow this kind of limitation, the local law wins and we do the right thing.
§ 10 Termination
You can stop using MacroDeck any time. Delete the app — your sessions (plain JSON on your disk) remain yours.
We may terminate your license if you materially breach these terms — for example, by cracking the license or distributing cracked builds. We'll give you notice and an opportunity to cure, unless the breach is egregious enough that we won't.
§ 11 Changes to these terms
If we update these terms in a way that matters, we'll email you and update the "Last updated" date at the top. Continuing to use MacroDeck after that date means you accept the new version.
§ 12 Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes we can't resolve amicably over email go to the courts of London. If you're a consumer in the EU, your local consumer protections still apply.
